DETROIT (WWJ) – Police in Detroit are asking for help from the public finding an elderly man who went missing over the weekend.
Tommy Thomas, 81, was last seen at his home in the 17100 block of Greenlawn Street – near McNichols and Livernois on the city's northwest side – shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.
Detroit police officials say Thomas left home and never came back. It was not clear where Thomas was headed when he left.
Thomas is described as an 81-year-old Black man, approximately 5-foot-8, with gray hair.
He was last seen wearing a gray jacket that says "MGM Casino," a blue fleece hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants with a white stripe and tennis shoes.
Anyone who has seen Thomas or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's 12th Precinct at 313-596-1201.
