(WWJ) Does anyone recognize this wanted gunman?
The Detroit Police Department has released a suspect sketch as investigators seek the public's help in identifying and locating a man wanted in a shooting last month on the city's east side.
On Thursday, October 22, at around 4:15 a.m., police say the victim was "checking the area of a property" in the 11600 block of Mount Elliott St., when he was shot by an unknown male suspect.
After the incident, the suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim, a 39-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 6'0" tall, with a medium build, weighing around 220 lbs. He had dark complexion, dark brown eyes, a full beard and a mustache.
He was last seen wearing a red hooded jacket, with three white stripes along the collar, an old English "D" on the front left side, and blue jeans.
A motive for the shooting is unknown.
Anyone who can identify the man in the sketch or who has any information about this crime is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Eleventh Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-1140 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587).
