DETROIT (WWJ) -- If spring is your thing, there's good news about the weather this Thursday.
After a pleasant Wednesday with temperatures topping 60 degrees, AccuWeather forecasters are calling for some sunshine and a high approaching 70 in the Metro Detroit area on St. Patrick's Day.
WWJ AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore says it's going to be gorgeous out there... but not for too long. "It depends on how quickly some showers come in late in the day," he said.
So get out and enjoy the day earlier if you can!
The bad news is (sorry about this) the warmth won't stick around.
DeVore said it'll be much colder on Friday, with a high of only 50 degrees and rain off and on into Saturday, with highs only be in the 40s.
The rain could end in some snowflakes Saturday night — more likely in areas north and west of Detroit — as temps drop into the low to mid-30s. But there probably won't be any accumulation, AccuWeather said.
Sunday is looking a bit nicer, with a high in the upper 50s.
