WESTLAND (WWJ) - A shooting at a duplex in Westland left two people dead and one injured.
Police were called to a duplex on Deerfield Court around 6:15 p.m. on Monday for reports of gunshots.
Authorities said they had to force entry to get into the home. They found three victims inside. Two were dead, while one person had been shot in the head, but was still alive.
The victim who was still alive was transported to a local hospital. Their condition isn't known at this time.
An article from Fox 2 Detroit reported that neighbors were saying the shooting was a murder- suicide.
"The shooter allegedly killed his boyfriend's handicapped mother, shot his boyfriend in the head, and then turned the gun on himself after barricading inside with the victims," the article said.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
