(WWJ) – Working a full-time job should mean all your needs are met. But what if it doesn't?
That's where "side hustles" come in. A new Lending Tree survey claims the number of Americans with side-gigs to bring in more money has risen by 13% since the start of the pandemic in 2020. That number is closing in on 50% of all Americans, according to the report.
On a new Daily J podcast, WWJ's Brian Fisher explores whether passion or necessity is driving this side-hustle spoke and how it's impacting their lives.
WWJ Business Editor Murray Feldman says "most people who do it are doing it because they need money," but some are doing it "because they just have a desire to do something."
