Police say two armed robbers used a shotgun to steal a man’s car and his belongings.
This happened at about 7:12 p.m. in the 1200 block of Kerlerec Street one block off of Esplanade Avenue. According to a police report, the victim was entering his vehicle at that location when he was approached by the two suspects. One suspect pointed a shotgun at the victim, while the other suspect emptied the victim’s pockets. The armed man entered the victim’s vehicle and fled, while the unarmed suspect entered a separate vehicle and fled the scene. Both vehicles were seen fleeing on Kerlerec Street towards Marais Street, then in an unknown direction.
