The impeachment of President Donald Trump is likely to go a long way toward stirring up the base of voters for Louisiana's Congressional and Senatorial delegations, according to Pollster and Political Consultant Bernie Pinsonat.

"It's considered an opportunity for them to score political points with their voters," Pinsonat says.

As expected, Louisiana's congressional delegation voted along party lines.  "Louisiana overall is considered one of the most pro-Trump states," Pinsonat says.  "It's an easy vote for all the Republicans, it'll make them even more popular in Louisiana."

Pinsonat says even the states lone Democrat, Cedric Richmond will be a winner.  As the one member of Congress representing a mostly liberal democrat district, the long-time outspoken critic of President Trump can't help but a healthy bump from his constituents.

When it comes to the Senate delegation, Pinsonat says Senator Bill Cassidy has the most to gain.  Cassidy, running for re-election, will likely use his time as a juror finding fault and finger pointing at Democrats.   Pinsonat couldn't help but opining about Republican Senator John Kennedy, "It's a great opportunity for John Kennedy.  With his homey remarks and his self-styled political corn-pone poetry he's come up with."

"It's a great opportunity for John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy to tell the voters 'we're up here to protect President Trump and vote against the Democrats."
