Late Friday afternoon two men were shot near the intersection of Westbend Parkway and Vespasian Boulevard in Algiers.
NOPD says the victims were exiting an apartment complex when someone opened fire on their vehicle. Arriving officers found one man with a gunshot wound to the arm, the other suffering from multiple wounds.
The victim with multiple gunshot wounds was transported to a hospital where he later died around 90-minutes later.
Then, the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reported a second shooting in the same location around 10pm.
No other details are known about that second incident.
Meanwhile around the same time, gunfire erupted in the Seventh District.
A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds near Willowbrook Drive and Pointe Coupee Place in Village d’Est.
That victim was transported to a hospital.
NOPD is working the cases, no other information is available.
