Parade weather is looking better for today and tomorrow.
"This evening looks good for the parades with only a slight chance for a stray shower and temperatures around 70," WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said. "It also looks like we will not see a lot of rain on Saturday."
Before we get to tonight's parades, expect a few spotty showers and a few thunderstorms and humid highs in the mid 70s.
Sunday, however, the rain is back with a vengeance.
"A strong cold front will move through on Sunday. This will set off scattered showers and storms starting late in the morning and they will continue into the evening hours," Nussbaum explained. "Some of the storms could be strong to severe."
High temperatures will be close to 80° before the cold air behind the front arrives.
Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras: MUCH COLDER air will move into the region! We will be partly cloudy on Monday with a breezy and highs only in the mid 50s. It will feel like the 40s. Tuesday will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the 30s/40s in the morning and only warming to the lower 50s in the afternoon. Again, it will feel like the 40s. Make sure you bundle up if you are headed to any parades!
