The sunny weekend weather looks to continue for the next few days.

"However, humidity will be on the rise and Monday won't be quite as comfortable as dew points break 60°, which is usually the threshold for comfort," says local weather expert, WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin. "In the summer, dew points well into the 70s are typical, as is the more oppressive humidity; 60s becomes not as delightful!"

"Our upper pattern is favoring a drier stretch, but a weak upper disturbance will likely begin increasing rain chances Wednesday and Thursday with a cold front to sweep through Friday," says Franklin. "Again, the upper pattern doesn't look to support any severe threat, so heading into the start of May, it looks to be rather quiet!"
