Jameis Winston health watch has officially begun, and there was a clear change when the Saints took the practice field Wednesday out in England: the starting quarterback wasn't on it.

Andy Dalton took first-team reps, while Taysom Hill picked up passing reps in practice for the first time during a media viewing session. Practice squad quarterback Jake Luton was also on the field.

Dennis Allen said he expects to see Winston back out at practice for Thursday, and indicated there isn't any added concern about the QB's availability in Week 4. He was limited throughout each of the past two weeks.

It was a shift from previous week's but mostly just in the form of attendance. Winston has been limited and hadn't been seen throwing during the Wednesday practice each of the past two weeks. Hill was also hurt heading into Week 3, so it's unknown whether he'd have picked up QB reps during that week's practice slate. He was dealing with a rib injury.

Regardless, it becomes a situation to monitor heading into a showdown with the Minnesota Vikings in London. The Saints have lost two straight and Winston's performance, as well as health, have been widely questioned. He is dealing with a back issue that has required him to wear additional pads on gamedays, and was also listed with an ankle injury on the Week 3 injury report.

The bigger issue has been the sluggishness of the offense. The Saints have scored just 10 first-half points through three games. They've rolled up 35 points in 4th quarter comeback attempts, only one of which has landed a win.

The Saints' official injury report is scheduled to come out at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Other names such as Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, Marcus Maye, Tre'Quan Smith, Deonte Harty, Andrus Peat and Ryan Ramczyk will be of high interest in that report. Former Saints WR Keith Kirkwood has also been re-signed to the practice squad and was on the field for practice Wednesday.

Landry, Peat, Maye and Smith were all seen working in some capacity at practice.
