The New Orleans Saints will likely have to rely on a backup left tackle for the foreseeable future.
Saints LT Kelvin Banks suffered a significant high ankle sprain and will have to undergo surgery, Saints head coach Kellen Moore said on Monday. Banks will likely end up on injured reserve with a potential return possible for late in the year.
"An unfortunate thing for Kelvin, but we'll just take this thing step by step and figure out the timeline after that," Moore said.
