The New Orleans Saints' global footprint continues to grow.
The Saints and Browns have been granted international marketing rights in Italy through the NFL Global Markets Program. Italy is a new entry into the program, which currently includes 22 international territories. New Orleans also holds sole marketing rights in France, where they will play the NFL's first Paris game later this year.
"Italy's passion for the sports and its vibrant communities make this an extraordinary opportunity for our organization," Saints owner Gayle Benson said in a statement. We look forward to connecting the Saints brand with fans in Italy, strengthening ties between our regions, and creating meaningful avenues for investment that support business throughout our city and state."
Benson and a contingent from the Saints were in both countries in recent weeks, with Benson joining Archbishop James Checchio of the Archdiocese of New Orleans to meet Pope Leo XIV before a trip to Paris to help promote the upcoming game. She was joined on that trip by Saints quarterback Tyler Shough and RT Taliese Fuaga, and announced that the Saints plan to organize a flag football competition in Paris, details of which are yet to be announced.
The NFL has scheduled nine international games for the 2026 season, three in London, two in Australia and one apiece in Mexico, Spain, Brazil, France and Germany. The trip to Paris will be the Saints' first international trip since 2022 and their first international game that was not in London.
