With Super Bowl LV less than a week away, the pressure is on the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Bucs – not just for the big game, but to avoid contracting COVID-19 as well.

If any player tests positive this week, they would not be allowed to play in the game per NFL’s COVID protocols.

The Chiefs certainly sound like they are doing their part in staying safe.

Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill told TMZ Sports that the Chiefs are even bringing their own COVID-tested barbers so they don’t risk catching the virus while getting a clean cut before Sunday.

“The Chiefs are bringing in barbers to the facility and getting ‘em tested,” he said. “So, like, they are really following protocol.”

Hill said that he has already started taking extra precautions himself, adding that he had to miss his son’s basketball game over the weekend.

“Yesterday my son had a basketball game and I usually go to his basketball game but since it’s Super Bowl week, I didn’t even go,” he said. “We can’t even do nothing.”

The 26-year-old speedy receiver also said that there is much less of a circus surrounding the Super Bowl because the media presence is scaled down due to the pandemic. Hill believes that has led to better practices compared to last year leading up to the Super Bowl.

“I just feel like our practice intensity is definitely harder,” he said. “I don’t remember practicing this hard during this time last year.”
