Four people were shot in New Orleans East Sunday evening. One shooting victim died and three are in the hospital.
Police say it happened at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday in the 9200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
Three of the shooting victims were taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
Two victims –a male and a female - arrived together at one hospital, while a second and third victim arrived separately at another hospital.
Investigators are gathering evidence and information to identify who may be responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. The investigation is ongoing and no additional details are available at this time.
