UPDATE: Entergy says power in New Orleans has been restored.
ORIGINAL STORY: As thunderstorms rumble across the region, around 10,000 Entergy New Orleans customers have lost power.
Most of the outages are in the Marigny, Bywater, and St. Claude neighborhoods, along with part of the Seventh Ward and Desire area.
The utility is estimating restoration by 6:30 to 7 p.m.
An additional 1,100 or so customers are without power throughout the state.
