The boil water advisory for Algiers has been lifted.
New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board announced on Saturday that the boil advisory implemented on Friday for the Westbank of Orleans Parish has been canceled. The announcement comes after tests showed that the tap water there is safe to drink.
The advisory was implemented after water pressure fell below the legal limit for safe consumption.
