A few thousand Entergy New Orleans customers lost power this afternoon, and the utility says that once again, it is the fault of local wildlife. Power was restored a short time later.
"An animal has caused an electrical short and damaged our equipment," Entergy told WWL-TV. The animal in question this time was a squirrel.
Earlier this week, Entergy says a bird came in contact with equipment and caused a power failure for a large part of the Central Business District.
