Pre-4th of July fireworks continue tonight with displays from the Northshore to the Westbank.

In Metairie, the Uncle Sam Jam takes over Lafreniere Park, with Poison's Bret Michaels, Starship, Amanda Shaw, the Top Cats and so much more.

"A lot of people, this is how they spend their July 4th in Jefferson parish, it's a great event," said Jefferson Parish president Cynthia Lee Sheng.

Sheng told WWL's Tommy Tucker the Uncle Sam Jam is from 2:30 to 10:30, with fireworks at 9:30.

You can also catch fireworks at City Park's Great Lawn. It starts at six but you might want to show up early.

"People actually start coming out at 10 a.m. to save their spots," City Park's Julie LaCour told WWL's Don Dubuc.

She said the fireworks go off at nine.

"The fireworks are unbelievable," LaCour said. "They're shot from the top of the Peristyle, and it's a view like nothing else."

Mandeville’s Light Up The Lake is tonight with fireworks at 8:30 p.m. St. Bernard Salutes America is at the Sigur Civic Center with fireworks around 9:15 p.m., and St. Charles Parish lights up the sky around 9:00 p.m. at West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
