New Orleans Downtown Development District CEO Davon Barbour has announced he will resign his position at the end of February.

Barbour has served as the DDD's leader since 2021.

"I am so proud of the collective accomplishments achieved by the incredible public servants of DDD," Barbour said in a statement announcing his departure. "With generous support from partner organizations, area nonprofits, and from local and state officials, DDD continues to move the needle, fostering a world-class Downtown."

DDD board chair Chris Ross praised Barbour for his "unwavering dedication" to downtown New Orleans during his tenure.

"His passion for this work has strengthened the DDD and made it a better organization," said Ross.

Ross said plans for selecting new leadership will be announced in the coming weeks.
