An 18-year-old faces multiple counts of aggravated battery in the shooting that wounded five people on Bourbon St. over the holiday weekend.
Dashawn Myre, 18, faces five counts of aggravated second-degree battery and one count of illegal use of a weapon for the shooting that happened around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Bullets hit three male victims and two female victims.
An initial police report said, "An argument took place, and an unknown black male produced a gun and began firing into the crowd striking multiple victims."
NOPD Director of Communications Gary Scheets later added, "None of the injuries are considered life-threatening."
