WATER
Water pressure in East Jefferson Parish is almost zero
There were 200 water breaks; 50 were repaired on Monday
Watermain breaks due to downed trees
There is a boil-water advisory in effect for both the eastbank and westbank
Water will be out for at least five days as crews repair watermains
If you are here or if you want to come back, it’s extremely likely you will not have water
If you have water, limit usage to avoid sewage backup
Water should be restored before power

About 98% of Jefferson Parish is without power
At least three weeks without power is a conservative estimate

911 services have been restored
The parish's administrative line, used to route emergency calls while 9-1-1 was down, has itself experienced an outage. No word on when it will be repaired.
ROADS
Everyone is asked to stay home and not venture onto the roads unless absolutely necessary
Many roads are blocked by downed trees and other debris
All traffic signals are not functioning
