Violence in New Orleans continues into the first week of the New Year. Five people were injured in three separate shootings in New Orleans in less than 24 hours.
New Orleans Police report about 9:42 p.m. Monday night in the 7th Ward.
Police say two men and a juvenile were shot in the 1600 block of North Galvez Street. The juvenile and one male victim were transported to the hospital by EMS. The other male victim arrived at the hospital by a private vehicle.
They did not say what condition the victims are in when they arrived at the hospital.
Later the NOPD reported another shooting, this time in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Police released little detail but say one male was shot in this incident. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Then, NOPD reports about 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday another shooting victim. This shooting happened in the 12000 block of North I-10 Service Road. A man was shot in this incident and was taken to the hospital by EMS. His condition is unknown.
These are the latest shootings to be added to a string of violent shootings across the New Orleans area in the first week of 2021.
The investigations into these shootings is ongoing.
