Cops say a chopper reportedly went down this morning in Lafourche Parish.
"Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced deputies are currently investigating a report of a helicopter crash near the west side of the South Lafourche Levee System," according to a news release.
Police say the crash was reported by a concerned citizen. Rescue crews are responding to the scene. According to WWLTV, Sheriff Webre confirms Acadian Ambulance is assisting in the search by air while the U.S. Coast Guard uses boats to search the marsh.
