Runners, joggers, walkers, and even families with strollers are preparing to take to the streets of New Orleans for one of the city’s most recognizable events.

The Crescent City Classic is back, blending fitness, community, and celebration into a single experience that reflects the spirit of the Crescent City.

Eric Stuart says the event has evolved beyond a traditional road race.

“This continues to be a charitable event, but it’s really become more of a celebration than just a marathon,” Stuart said.

Participants of all levels are encouraged to join, whether they’re aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the route.

“There’s something for everyone,” Stewart said. “If you want to take a little longer, that’s fine. If you want to be first across the finish line, that’s great too.”

And in true New Orleans fashion, the event doesn’t end when the race is over.

“Once you cross the finish line, it turns into a party unlike anything else you’ll find,” Stewart said.

Organizers say registration is still open, and even those who don’t plan to participate physically can still support the event through its charitable efforts.

With thousands expected to take part, the Crescent City Classic once again highlights what makes New Orleans unique: a city where even a foot race becomes a celebration.
