It's the moment music lovers have been waiting for, for more than a year: Jazz Fest announces the lineup for their upcoming festival later this year.
Ever since the festival announced it would move to October for this year, fans have been wondering who will be playing this fall at the Fairgrounds.
"I think you're going to see a number of the acts that were supposed to be at the 2020 Jazz Fest," said Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate entertainment reporter Keith Spera. "It's entirely possible that Stevie Nicks will make up that 2020 Jazz Fest performance she wasn't able to do...Black Crows said they're coming to Jazz Fest; they were supposed to be there in 2020, so that's another rebound act."
Some others on the 2020 schedule, like Foo Fighters and Lizzo aren't as certain, but Spera believes a lot of the performers who ended up canceled in 2020 could be on the bill: "In effect I think we're going to be seeing the 2020 festival redux in 2021 with some other folks added as well."
Jazz Fest is set to begin Friday, October 8 and wrap up Sunday, October 17.
