She ran for District Attorney and lost, but now it appears Keva Landrum, the former Orleans Parish criminal court judge is about to score a major new position in criminal justice.

According to the Times Picayune/New Orleans Advocate, Landrum will be the Biden Administration’s pick as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The position will require senate confirmation.

If approved, Landrum will succeed Peter Strasser, who left office February 28, along with the rest of U.S. Attorneys selected by Trump Administration.

Landrum was among the top names banded about to lead the U.S. Attorney’s office even before Strasser left his position.

The paper, relying on sources, say for Representative Cedric Richmond was personally involved in the selection of the top three people picked to head the U.S. Attorney’s offices in the state.

Landrum and Richmond are close friends and graduates of the Tulane School of Law.
