A U.S. News and World Report study named Louisiana the worst overall state in the country.
The study measured 71 metrics across categories like economy, education, infrastructure, healthcare and crime.
Louisiana is the only state to rank in the bottom 10 in each of the eight total categories.
Utah was ranked at number one, followed by South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Nebraska. New Hampshire, Idaho, Florida, Washington, and Vermont rounded out the top ten.
The rest of the bottom five included Michigan at 46, New Mexico at 47, Mississippi at 48, and Alaska at 49.
