Violent crime in New Orleans is rampant in all parts of the city, including around City Hall.
Yesterday, police were called about an armed robbery at the intersection of Loyola Avenue and Perdido Street, just yards away from the steps to City Hall.
Police say the suspect pulled a gun on the victim, then beat the victim and stole his personal property then fled the scene.
The victim arrived at the hospital for treatment. Police are searching for the suspect.
