New Orleans Police say a 6-year-old boy was hit and killed this morning by a school bus.
It happened around 8 a.m. Thursday on Desire Street near North Villere.
Investigators say the child had just gotten out of a vehicle to board the school bus when the incident happened.
Police conducted a standard field sobriety test on the bus driver. Officials said they do not suspect impairment at this time.
