NOPD Deputy Superintendent Paul Noel is reportedly leaving the department to become the new chief of the Knoxville, Tennessee Police Department.
The 25-year veteran began as a patrol officer in 1997 and has worked in various roles including Special Victims and the Second District Chief of Operations. He has a masters and bachelors from Loyola University.
That makes four high-ranking members of Superintendent Shaun Ferguson’s team that have left in just the last few months.
Noel is set to be announced today.
