Cops say a man is dead after a fight between ten people around two o' clock in the morning on the Westbank.
" A group of four males were approached by six unknown male subjects when a verbal altercation ensued," according to an initial NOPD report."
It happened near the corner of Socrates Street and Brooklyn Avenue in Algiers overnight.
"The group of 4 males entered their vehicle to leave the area when the other group opened fire."
Investigators say bullets hit two people.
"Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Victim #1 later expired."
The six suspects fled the scene. Detectives are working to identify and find them.
