A Louisiana healthcare worker from Shreveport and a 13-year-old girl from New Orleans are the fourth round winners in the state’s Shot-At-A-Million lottery.
Shot-At-A-Million is a state lottery for vaccinated people.
Governor John Bel Edwards announced Friday that Coty Hemperley won $100,000 cash prize and Nevada Charity won a $100,000 scholarship.
“So Congratulations to Coty Hemperley,” Governor Edwards said. “I also want to thank him because he works in one of the state’s largest health systems and he helps patients who need assistance covering the cost of their care, and thank you for choosing to be vaccinated.”
“And our one hundred thousand dollar scholarship winner is 13-year-old Nevada Charity of New Orleans,” said Edwards. “She is going to college and her family are super excited about that $100,000 scholarship.”
