Incumbent Jefferson Parish Division B at-large councilman Scott Walker will retain his seat on the parish council.
According to WWL's projections, Walker beat current District 4 councilman Dominick Impastato to hold onto his position. With early voting and 62 precincts reporting, Walker holds a nearly two-thirds advantage over Impastato, leading 63 percent to 37 percent.
Walker, a former television news anchor, and Impastato were embroiled in a campaign that featured the parish's police chiefs endorse Impastato while IV Waste owner Sidney Torres attacked Impastato over a years-long dispute over Kenner's garbage contracts.
This will be Walker's second term as an at-large councilman.
