More heat, humidity, and rain are on the menu today and for the remainder of the work week.
Rain chances will hover between 40 and 60 percent through Saturday before conditions clear in time for the new week ahead. High temperatures will remain in the low- to mid-90s with heat indices topping out in the triple digits. Overnight lows will stick in the mid- to upper-70s.
While we may see some tropical showers over the next few days, there are no tropical systems in the Atlantic Basin that pose any concerns to the Louisiana gulf coast.
