A MESSAGE FROM FRANK E. LEE

"The Disappearance of Frank E. Lee: part of a recent comment I saw on a social media platform which would be the title of the most boring movie ever made (Adam Driver as the lead?) Alas, the truth is much less dramatic. After a long and fruitful career on WXRT, I have decided to retire. I was first a listener and when I was hired in December of 1980, it was a dream come true. WXRT makes Chicago a better place, playing a beguiling mash of startling and inspiring music and initiating many charitable endeavors along the way. I am proud and honored to have been part of a terrific team of rock radio colleagues, past, present and dearly departed. I will enjoy listening from now on, and if you see me on the street wearing my vintage WXRT gear, say hi and prepare to share boring stories of the good old days. (I'm sure they're coming soon.)
