It’s been a long four years since St. Vincent released her fifth studio album Masseduction, but judging from this week’s promotion for her new album, we think it will be worth the wait. The guitarist and singer is known for transforming her persona along with her music, and it looks like she’ll be channeling a 1970’s New York vibe for the forthcoming album Daddy’s Home.
Earlier this week she released a cryptic promo video for the album, with a hotline number at the end (1-833-77-DADDY) that led to an eerie recording and sample of the new song. Now she’s released “Pay Your Way in Pain” ahead of May 14’s album release, which you can preview below. Preorder Daddy's Home here.
