Traditional Chicago River Dye
Chicago Plumbers Local 130 will dye the Chicago River emerald green using an eco-friendly additive at 10:00 a.m. Might we suggest arriving a wee bit earlier than 10A!
BEST VIEWS: Upper Wacker Drive between State and Columbus. Please note: the lower Riverwalk will be closed except for select ticketed events, but spectators can watch from Upper Wacker Drive and the many bridges spanning the Chicago River. Stairwells leading to the Riverwalk will be closed per the City of Chicago.
71st Annual Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade

The 71st Annual Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at Columbus and Balbo at 12 Noon and marches north to Monroe under the banner of this year’s theme, “Peace, Faith and Unity”. Entry to the parade route opens at 11am and will only be permitted at Jackson Avenue and Ida B. eet/Get ready to Shamrock & Roll as Division Street comes alive for Chicago’s premier St. Patrick’s Day street festival on Saturday, March 14 from 11am to 10pm. Stretching on Division Street from State Street to Clark Street, just outside of The Lodge Tavern (21 W. Division Street), this full-day celebration will feature two main stages with live band performances, traditional Irish dancers and bagpipers, beer and liquor tents, and food vendors serving up festive bites— all wrapped in nonstop Paddy’s Day spirit. Tickets come with complimentary admission to The Lodge Tavern, She-nannigans, and Butch McGuire’s on March 14th until 6pm. Swag included with purchase. The event is rain, snow, or shine. All sales are final. A $10 suggested donation at entry will support local community initiatives and event production. The festival is hosted by Division Street Merchants and produced by Lodge Management Group, the team behind some of Chicago’s most iconic bars, including The Redhead Piano Bar, Pippin’s Tavern, River Shannon, Streeter’s Tavern, The Lodge Tavern, She-nannigans, The Original Mother’s, and The Hangge-Uppe. This all-day celebration is the perfect way to embrace the luck of the Irish in the heart of Chicago.

2026 Southside Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade
Tradition Marches On! On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Southside Irish Parade will step off at noon from 103rd and Western Avenue in Chicago’s Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood. The parade is expected to last approximately two hours. A family-friendly event, the South Side Irish Parade began in 1979 and has grown to become the largest St. Patrick’s Day community-based parade outside of Dublin, Ireland. https://southsideirishparade.org/
