STICKNEY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Investigators are looking into what may have caused a fire at a gas station in southwest suburban Stickney Wednesday.
By the time the fire was out, an RV was completely charred. Thick black smoke and bright orange flames damaged the canopy and pumps at the Gas N Wash. Stickney fire chief Jeff Boyajian tells CBS 2 crews arrived at the gas station near purging and Cicero just after 4 pm.
"One of the victims was out of the RV in front of the store. The other one was closer to the carwash," he said. "At that point, after interviewing them, we heard that there was a third victim; that he did not make it out."
The fire marshall is investigating and looking at surveillance video for clues.
