AURORA, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- In collaboration with Jewel-Osco and the Fox Valley Mall, the City of Aurora is hosting its ninth mass vaccination clinic in just over a month - this time inviting all residents age 16 and up.

The clinic will be held on Tuesday, April 13 at the Aurora Mass Vaccination Site at Fox Valley Mall.


Residents interested can sign up for an appointment online beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, April 9. According to the City of Aurora, 2,500 appointments will be available.

This clinic will provide the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, which can be taken by anyone 16 years and older.  A second-dose appointment will be scheduled at the same site.

The mass vaccination site will be open to Aurora residents only who are 16 years and older, regardless of occupation or preexisting conditions.

Aurora has also hosted four equity-focused clinics for the Black, Latinx, Indian American communities and for people with disabilities, with more planned for April.
