CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- North America’s largest barrel-aged beer festival is returning to Chicago Friday night.
The Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer, or FoBAB is returning to Chicago for its 21st year.
Ray Stout with the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild said attendees will be able to try up to 400 beers from 200 breweries from 24 different states.
"It makes it so unique and refreshing every single year because you're trying new things you never thought existed the year prior."
Stout said FoBAB will feature everything from lagers, to stouts, to ciders from states like California, New York, Washington, and even Texas.
"If you are interested in exploring a new style of beer or attending one of the coolest events in the Chicagoland area, it's worth a trip down to the west side of Chicago, come out to the arena because it's an experience that's going to be an unmatched experience in any festival or brewery experience you're going to have."
FoBAB takes place at the UIC Credit Union 1 Arena.
