CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man is in the hospital after divers pulled him from Lake Michigan Friday night.
The rescued man was in the water near Montrose Beach on the North Side and had not been seen in a while so someone called 911 at around 6:30 p.m..
The Chicago Fire Department responded with divers who found the man after about seven minutes of searching.
A witness told firefighters they believed he had already came out. The fire department said they took him to Weiss Memorial in critical condition.
It’s not clear how long he had been in the water.
