CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A chicken chain and a burrito joint top the list of Generation Z's favorite restaurants.
Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle, and Starbucks top the the Piper Sandler survey of 14,000 teenagers from across 47 states.
R-J Hottovy, Head of Analytical Research at foot traffic analysis firm *Placer A-I* in Chicago told the WBBM Noon Business Hour that his firm's numbers back that up.
"Those three brands to overindex to teens and younger adults as well," Hottovy said.
He said that all three brands succeed because they seen as being more authentic. He added that all three restaurants have a mobile order app that's easy to use.
"The brands do the job in terms of the digital ordering platforms. They make it very convenient to get your food. Obviously, for a teen audience that has mobile devices that could be a determining factor as well," Hottovy said.
