CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Twenty years ago on Tuesday, the two Bradley sisters — 10-year-old Tionda and 3-year-old Diamond — disappeared from their South Side home. And Chicago police said there are no new leads.

The girls’ great aunt, Shelia Bradley-Smith, has watched the years unfold as searches turned up nothing.

Hoaxes brought pretenders claiming to be the long-lost sisters. And everyone who was anywhere near Tionda and Diamond before July 6, 2001, has proclaimed innocence.

“I don’t know who to believe. And I think that the law enforcement needs to re-interview everybody,” Bradley-Smith told WBBM Newsradio.

Bradley-Smith said the case’s age shouldn’t be a deterrent for conducting interviews again.

“And of course people are going to say, ‘Oh, that was 20 years ago.’  No. You know where you were 20 years ago.  Especially when you’re being accused of taking some children. You remember where you were,” Bradley-Smith said.

Chicago police said the investigation “remains open” and that investigators follow up when tips are received.
