Dig in: Taste of Chicago lineup released

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Taste of Chicago has released its lineup for this year's festival in Grant Park.

Taking place in its iconic Grant Park home, the Chicago tradition Taste of Chicago will include music headliners like rapper CeeLo Green and rock group Atlas Genius.

There will be 40 food vendors including Billy Goat Tavern, The Original Rainbow Cone Harold's Chicken, Oooh Wee It Is Restaurant, and Lou Malnati’s. More than a dozen food trucks will also be in attendance.

In addition to food, there is a beer hall and a cocktail lounge where people can get both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

In addition to food and music, there will also be dancing. Chicago SummerDance will bring a “global dance party” to the SummerDance stage.

Earlier this summer a Taste of Chicago event was held in Rogers Park. Two more neighborhood events will be held before the festival in Grant Park in September. On July 27, Taste of Chicago will head to Marquette Park and Pullman Park on Aug. 17.

The free fest in Grant Park kicks off on Friday, Sept. 6 at Jackson and Columbus drives by the Buckingham Fountain and goes through that Sunday.

Music performances will take place on the Main Stage and Goose Island Stage. Chicago Made is presenting many of the artists performing on the Goose Island Stage.
