CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Elmhurst Police are asking for help from the public in locating a car that was stolen Tuesday with a dog inside.
Police said the vehicle, a white 2004 Pontiac Vibe with Illinois plates, was stolen from the At Home parking lot in the Elmhurst Crossing shopping center, located at 265 Rt. 83 around 9:50 a.m.
The driver had left the keys inside, along with a tan female Terrier-Shi Zu mix named Zoey.
The vehicle was last seen westbound on North Avenue, police said. The license plate is 694 6860.
Police asked anyone with tips to call Elmhurst police at 630-530-3050.
The son of the woman who owns the dog wrote on Facebook "please share, we need your help."
