
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A teenager was expected to appear in court Monday over accusations that he shot another teen at Chicago Ridge mall Saturday night.
According to Chicago Ridge police, the shooting happened in a parking lot when an argument between a group of young men turned physical.
As the fight intensified, shots were fired, and a 17-year-old was shot in the torso. Police said the shooter, also 17, was injured as well.
Both were released from the hospital after treatment.
The alleged shooter is being charged as an adult with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
