An Indiana sheriff hopes to have his case of reckless driving thrown out.
Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez filed a motion to dismiss charges against him, including resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
According to the Gary Post Tribune, Martinez claimed the special prosecutor Stanley Levco "unduly influenced the neutral and detached atmosphere of the indictment proceedings." Levco told the paper he doesn't agree.
Martinez is accused of speeding in an unmarked police car on September 18 and knowingly or intentionally fleeing from Crown Point Police for attempting to conduct a traffic stop.
