(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man is dead after being pulled from Lake Michigan in the north suburbs Saturday night.
The 26-year-old was swimming with two other men at Illinois Beach State Park in suburban Zion around 8 p.m. when he went under the water and never resurfaced.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office says crews searched the water for about two hours before they found the man and rushed him to a Waukegan hospital.
He later died and his identity has yet to be released.
