CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A man died after he and two others fell into Lake Michigan at 31st Street Beach on Chicago’s South Side Sunday night.
The three men were walking near the beach around 11:06 p.m. when they fell into the water, according to Chicago police.
A witness and firefighters were able to rescue the group from the lake.
One man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Another man was taken to Insight Hospital in fair condition.
Police did not provide information about the condition of the third man.
Authorities have not said what caused the men to fall into the water. No additional details were immediately available.
